I was impressed with Mr Garland's testimony. At no point did he fail to directly answer question. Nothing in his past to use against him.

Merrick Garland is a very good and decent public servant who has bipartisan support and will be confirmed, I do believe that. Also, he has said he will see that 'all' those involved in the domestic mob that stormed the Capitol on January 6th will be held accountable. Not just the rioters themselves. Justice is coming for those who incited, enraged, and encouraged these heinous actions, including Donald J. Trump!
Finally a real AG Garland, who is not afraid to Protect the Americans from UnAmericans like traitor Evil #45's supporters.
Traitor-'n-Thief Toxic Trump was a crook before taking office AND a crook while in office. Will justice finally prevail, or will corrupt Republicans keep letting crooks off the hook to perpetrate more crimes? Thank democracy that we got Merrick Garland as AG, and an independent DOJ back that once again works for the American people--not a mob boss President and his criminal cronies.
At Garland's confirmation hearing, Lying "Flying" Cruz was all of a sudden real concerned about the politicization of the DOJ, and the AG being accountable to Congress! Funny how hypocritical Republicans never said a word or raised a finger when Toxic Trump and B.S. Barr totally politicized and weaponized the DOJ, using it to smear their political opponents with phony investigations and cover up that administration's crimes, while disrespecting and disdaining Congressional oversight.
At Garland's confirmation hearing ranking Republican Grassley was still pushing long-debunked Russian conspiracy theories about Hunter Biden, doing Putin's dirty work to weaken America for him. The vast majority of Congressional Republicans are traitors.
This man is the real deal. I can see from his emotional fortitude, that he was extremely "touched" by the US giving his family refuge. As he had to unceremoniously vacate his birth country, due to vicious discrimination that was life threating.
Election laws are grossly violated by 6 Swing States and no one is held accountable! Supreme Court fails to deliver justice to 74M citizens. DEMS aggressively silenced voters frauds. SHAME ON SUPREME COURT ! Raise your VOICES, guys !
Generally I LOATHE Centrists, however in this case I think Merrick Garland might be the best possible option for AG given that it'll be difficult to argue that he's partisan.

Seriously? How do you not know the answer? Stop watching FOX. The reason is because a person can be asymptomatic when having Covid and can still pass the virus to others, so the same applies to a person who got a Covid vaccine. Just because that person is more likely safe from the deadly effects from the virus, doesn't mean it is safe for the people that the vaccinated is surrounded with are safe from getting the virus. This is why we need to still wear masks until at least 80% of Americans get vaccinated to achieve herd immunity.
The mask and distancing becomes less and less important, but it is still a good idea when possible. We don't know if and when they vaccines will make things completely "normal" again.

Aside from the particular answers, a couple aspects of the hearing are noteworthy. First is the appalling hypocrisy of Republican senators grilling Garland as to whether he will allow the Justice Department to be politicized. They were silent during the last administration and as such enabled the assault on the stature, reputation and morale of the department. The same senators who refused to convict the disgraced ex-president for fear of alienating the MAGA crowd but now propound on the “rule of law” illustrate their own unfitness for office.
